Thunder Road

Thunder Road is a new indoor entertainment center with a variety of gaming experiences, including an elaborate black light laser tag arena, arcade games, 7D theater and an 8-lane bowling alley. The bowling alley can be played in HyperBowling mode, which creates colored targets on the lane bumpers for players to hit or avoid to maximize their score. The facility also includes a restaurant.

Mechanical highlights include single-zone rooftop units with high turndown for capacity reduction in the main entertainment space and bar. Rooftop with electric reheat VAV boxes were used for the party rooms for individual control for each room. 

The electrical design included detailed coordination with various vendors for gaming and kitchen equipment. The owner took an active role in many aspects of the electrical design, including light fixture selection and layout, gear and equipment sizing, and telecommunications infrastructure design.
