Maintenance & Storage Addition | Sioux City, IA

This design-build project added 54,000 square feet to the Wilson Trailer manufacturing plant in Sioux City, IA.

The space included 20,800 square feet of maintenance shop, 27,000 square feet of storage, and 6,125 square feet of personnel offices.

The HVAC systems consisted of a ground-mounted heating-only air rotation unit for the maintenance shop and storage area, and a rooftop unit to provide both heating and cooling for the office space. The maintenance shop and storage areas did not have cooling. The HVAC system also included exhaust fans for the maintenance and storage areas to provide adequate ventilation in the production environment.

The power systems serviced the overhead doors, overhead cranes, mechanical equipment, general purpose outlets and other Owner-provided equipment. This included a new panel for the addition with power being provided from the existing building’s electrical service.
