Fuel System Replacement | Belle Fourche, SD

West Plains Engineering provided mechanical and electrical engineering design to replace the existing fuel system at the SDDOT facility located in Belle Fourche, SD.

The project included replacement of two (2) underground fuel tanks, one gasoline and one diesel. The scope also included replacement of the dispenser island, piping to the re-mounted existing dispenser with safe suction pump, re-installation of the existing leak detection systems in each of the new tanks, necessary electrical with emergency stop controls per code, new LED pole light, tank installation, backfill, and grading back to original conditions.
