In order to better serve our Clients across the Midwest, West Plains has added FIVE new employees to our Sioux Falls office. These gentlemen are adept at Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, and the design of HVAC, Heating and Cooling Systems, Lighting, Power and Plumbing Systems.  They add to our current abilities to design new architectural structures, and to analyze and Retro-Fit existing structures. They also add to our abilities of powering up any location, and any piece of equipment. Please see their bios below:

 

Gary Lyngen
Electrical Designer

Gary is an Electrical Designer with over 35 years experience in all aspects of electrical designing for all types of commercial, institutional, industrial, educational and religious projects. He has extensive experience in the design of power distribution, lighting, communication wiring, fire alarm and sound systems.

 

Wade Myrabo, P.E.
Mechanical Engineer

Wade is no stranger to West Plains Engineering. He worked in the Sioux Falls office from 1989 to 2000. He is a Mechanical Engineer who provides management, engineering and QA/QC services to clients in the government, healthcare, educational, commercial, and industrial markets. For more than 20 years, he has designed HVAC and plumbing systems, focusing on reducing energy usage, conserving water, improving indoor air quality, and ensuring constructability, maintainability, and serviceability for building owners, users and operators.

 

Mike Fisher, P.E.
Electrical Engineer

Mike is a Senior Electrical Engineer. He is responsible for all phases of electrical engineering projects including design and construction administration. His project design work includes religious, residential, healthcare, commercial, airline/airport, educational, government, and industrial facilities as well as independent and assisted living complexes. He has identified and designed for potential grant rebates and LEED credits for various types of projects. For more than 24 years, he has designed electrical systems consisting of lighting, power, distribution and low voltage systems. He has also practiced energy modeling and implemented energy conservation measures in line with life cycle cost analysis along with preparing opinion of costs. Mike is a member of the Sioux Falls Electrical Board of Appeals and currently serves as President of the South Dakota Electrical Council.

 

Stuart Oster, P.E.
Mechanical Engineer

“Stu” is a Mechanical Engineer with experience in healthcare, medical device manufacturing, food processing, technology, retail, government, and airport facilities. His experience in these sectors includes detailed design development, construction administration, and cost estimating. For more than 14 years, Stu has implemented mechanical systems that include geothermal, steam, heating water, chilled water, DX cooling, custom and standard air handling units, packaged equipment, heat recovery, plumbing, fire protection, and automatic temperature control.

 

 

Dustin Torguson
Mechanical Designer

Dustin is a Mechanical Designer with over 12 years experience in designing plumbing and HVAC systems for a wide range of commercial, residential, and institutional projects. He has extensive experience in Revit which helps coordinate his plumbing and duct system layouts with all trades. His Revit experience includes over a million sq. ft. of layout over the years.
