Providing cold storage for the fruits (and vegetables) of American farmers’ labor ultimately hinges on two things: service and reliability. Cloverleaf Cold Storage prides itself on being able to take care of its customers – and that includes guaranteeing mechanical and electrical systems that work. After all, something as simple as a blown circuit could mean spoiled produce and hugimg_0897e losses.

In 2015, West Plains Engineering conducted an Overcurrent Protective Device Coordination Study for the Monmouth, IL warehouse to prevent such a scenario. Our engineers designed and recommended adjustments to protective devices in the electrical system to minimize the impact of equipment failure. If one circuit goes, it’s contained until repairs can be made without jeopardizing the rest of the system.

The way we see it, our job is to protect our customers – so they can protect theirs.

“West Plains helped give us peace of mind that our systems are reliable. I really appreciate their insight and recommendations.” – Jim Geusebroek, Director of Engineering, Cloverleaf Cold Storage
