The engineering industry is celebrating the 65th anniversary of National Engineers Week, Feb. 21-27, 2016. Locally, West Plains Engineering, Inc., is recognizing its team of more than 50 engineers and support staff who have been serving the region since 1984.

With offices in Rapid City and Sioux Falls, S.D.; Bismarck, N.D.; Casper, Wyo., and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, West Plains is a leading mechanical, electrical, plumbing and power engineering firm. Our professional and design engineers have joined the team from some of the Midwest’s best engineering training grounds, including the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, University of South Dakota, South Dakota State University, North Dakota State University, University of Wyoming and University of Iowa.

National Engineers Week is highlighted by “Introduce a Girl to Engineers Day” on Wednesday, Feb. 25 and a special Family Day in Washington, D.C. on Friday, Feb. 27. The entire week is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce to make a difference in the world.
