A-OX Welding Supply provides high-quality gases, as well as welding equipment and supplies out of its Sioux Falls, S.D. distribution center and showroom.

In 2015, West Plains Engineering provided mechanical and electrical design services for the remodel of the 34,000 square foot of warehouse, as well as the addition of a 14,000 square foot, two-story office space for a new automated gas distribution/filling facility.

The automated system supports the PurityPlus certified line of gases and specialty gases.

The remodeled building now accommodates a state-of-the-art automated gas cylinder filling stations and a gas cylinder testing/refurbishing center. Cylinders can now be tested using ultrasonic methods to determine the condition of the cylinders for certification.

The facility also has a dedicated space for mechanical and specialty gases. These gases are produced to meet the PurityPlus standards and are used at hospitals in the region, as well as for lasers, emissions testing and robotics at regional industrial companies that make trailers, signs, paper products, windmills, fire trucks and more.
