Doornbos Livestock Facility | Casper, WY

West Plains Engineering worked with a design-build team on a new indoor practice arena for the Thunderbird Rodeo Team at Casper College in Wyoming. The arena is an approximately 150’x300’ open steel building with a dirt floor.

Mechanically, the goal was to keep the building at 55 degrees during the winter months. This was achieved through unit heaters. The HVAC system also consists of exhaust fans and louvers on opposite ends of the building to provide adequate ventilation. Cooling is via reversible ceiling fans.
