Arts & Recreation Addition | Dell Rapids, SD

West Plains Engineering provided mechanical and electrical design services for 21,236 square foot addition to the middle and high schools in Dell Rapids. This addition was made to the art, industrial arts and band departments, as well as an addition to house a gym, weight room, locker rooms and a wrestling room. The lighting consisted of architectural indirect in the classrooms and fluorescent high bay-in the sports areas and industrial arts area.

Additional panels were added in the industrial arts area and in the gym addition. New air handling units served the addition. A new chiller located on the roof provided chilled water to the new system and radiation was added to the weight room to allow additional heat as needed. Other systems included extensions of the voice/data sound, fire alarm, video surveillance and door control modules.
