Jacobson Plaza at The Falls | Sioux Falls, SD

Jacobson Plaza at The Falls is a unique 365-day community space in Sioux Falls, SD. The site features a 530-foot ice ribbon, universally accessible playground, 2,300 square-foot warming house, 3,400 square-foot food services building with a commercial kitchen, mechanical building, open-air shelter, off-leash dog park, splash pad and trail connections.

West Plains Engineering provided MEP design for the warming house and food services buildings, as well as electrical design for the various site amenities. The ice ribbon features string lights suspended over the ribbon periodically, as well as color-changing flood lights, to create a memorable nighttime skating experience.
