Tri-Valley School District

New Elementary School | Crooks, SD

Like many district in the region, Tri-Valley School District began experiencing exponential student enrollment growth in recent years. The existing school housed all  grades K-12, and was becoming overcrowded for both teachers and students. Following a bond vote, the community endorsed the design and construction of both a new 79,500 square foot single-story elementary for K-4th grade, as well as a Phase 2 for a new 130,000 square foot high school.

The elementary school provides 5 kindergarten classrooms, 1 junior kindergarten classroom, 5 classrooms for each first through fourth grade (total of 20 classrooms), a music room, art room, multi-purpose room, kitchen, gymnasium, cafeteria, and support/storage/circulation spaces.

The K-4 building was completed and welcomed students in the Fall of 2023, while the high school is currently under construction with a 2025 expected completion date.
